Nannette grew up in Orlando, Florida and studied at the Florida State University where she earned a B.A. in Mass Media Communications with minors in Spanish and Hispanic Marketing. Her first experience abroad was studying in San José, Costa Rica during the summer of her junior year, which sparked her interest in the Spanish language and love for travel. Upon graduation she felt inspired to continue studying Spanish and returned to San José where she taught English for a semester. Interested in beginning a career in international education she then traveled to Valencia, Spain where she worked as an advisor to students studying abroad for nearly two years. During her time in Spain she was able to travel to Italy, France, England and Germany.
