Brian graduated from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, with a major in International Studies and a minor in Spanish. During his undergraduate studies he played college basketball and participated in an international basketball tournament in Santiago, Chile after his freshmen year sparking his interest in international travel. After his junior year he studied abroad at the Universidad de Salamanca, Spain. Brian received his M.A. from the University of Richmond where he concentrated on the U.S. influence in Latin America during the 20th century. In 2000 he was awarded a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship and spent a year studying at the Universidad de Deusto in San Sebastián, Spain. After his scholarship year Brian lived in both Mexico and Spain. In León, Mexico he taught for several years at the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey's bilingual preparatory school and while in Spain he received a post-graduate degree in Educational Organization from the Universidad de Barcelona. Brian has worked with LPI since 2005 and has acted as the LPI Program Director since 2006.
