Université Catholique de L'Ouest
Founded in 1875 the Université Catholique de L'Ouest in Angers is the second largest university in France and has been offering French instruction to foreign students through its Centre Internacional d'Etudes Francaises (CIDEF) since 1947. This highly regarded institute receives approximately 1,600 foreign students from more than 70 countries each year and is an active member of the French Language Universities World Association.
Facilities available to students of the CIDEF include two libraries, multi-media and audio visual rooms, a language laboratory and computer room with Internet access. Due to the fact that students come from such various countries, all of the class instruction is in French.
